BALVER ZINN has a long time experience in processing nonferrous metals
and delivers in markets as for example automotive, naval architecture,
corrosion protection and further more. The Balver Zinn zinc foundry
provides a production capacity of approx. 3000 tons a month and is able to delivers much flexible high quality products.
High-purity zinc anodes with a purity of at least 99.99% have been in use in corrosion protection in the electroplating industry for over twenty years. Due to the increasing importance of processes and secondary processes (sewage technologies, etc.) that are gentle on the environment, the demands on the purity of the metals used has now clearly increased. Balver Zinn, therefore, only special high-grade zinc Zn 99.995%. To optimise process parameters, zinc alloyed with aluminium can be used here to stabilise the anodes. A further special feature of the Balver Zinn range is the diversity of forms available: pellets, hemispheres, balls, billets, cast or rolled plates and special forms are tailored to the specific requirements of our customers.
Balver Zinn alloys for diecasting and hot-dip galvanising are individually manufactured on request and in accordance with the state of the art. Sacrificial anodes with cast-in iron strips for direct securing to the hull are offered for shipbuilding. Special forms can also be manufactured to customer specifications.
