With Laser Material Deposition, metal beads can be applied to virtually any base material with high precision and within a very short time. By superimposing the weld beads, coatings, for example for wear and corrosion protection, or functional layers can be produced. By applying several layers on top of each other, the process can also be used for repairs, geometric adaptations, or even additive manufacturing of entire components.
