Hannover. "In view of the difficult economic environment, companies in the sector are being called upon to increase productivity and efficiency in order to continue to operate successfully. SurfaceTechnology GERMANY 2024 therefore comes at exactly the right time: it offers an excellent opportunity to see the current economic downturn as an opportunity and to use it for corporate reorientation and transformation. SurfaceTechnology GERMANY traditionally stands for a high quality of dialogue and visitors combined with a concrete investment project. This year, however, we are also encouraged by the trend of ticket vouchers being redeemed, which is why we have high expectations for this year's event," says Christoph Matheis, Managing Director of the German Surface Technology Association (ZVO).

For the second time since the company was founded, the start-up Galvanoclean GmbH is taking part in a trade fair. When asked why they chose SurfaceTechnology GERMANY in particular and what expectations and hopes they had when travelling to Stuttgart, Waldemar Daubert, Managing Director of the company, told us: "We chose SurfaceTechnology GERMANY because our main target group is represented here, we can meet potential customers and existing customers in person, and to build and expand interpersonal relationships and trust. We want to make our company GalvanoClean and our services better known. Get to know new technologies and take away a lot of information from the specialist presentations."

Dr. Martin Riester, Surface Technology Officer at VDMA, adds: "Artificial intelligence, digitalisation and interoperability are important topics for ensuring the competitiveness of German technology providers. SurfaceTechnology GERMANY offers an ideal basis for knowledge transfer, networking and business initiation for the surface technology sector. We hope that this year's event will provide important impetus for the industry in a challenging year."

In conclusion, Christoph Nowak, Project Director of SurfaceTechnology GERMANY at Deutsche Messe AG, adds: "The atmosphere in the hall is good, really good. We are very grateful that so many exhibitors have been with us for so many years and have made the event what it is today. We are also delighted that many new faces have joined us this year. This shows us once again that SurfaceTechnology GERMANY is recognised as the industry event in the market. Expectations are high and we are sure that the next three days will be full of talking shop, discussions and filling the project pipeline. Because one thing is clear and I will never tire of mentioning it: we can only do it together. In challenging times, it is extremely important to share ideas, to stick together as an industry and to teach and learn in order to remain fit for the future."
