With CLIN™ technologies, HEF Groupe offers a liquid nitrocarburising process designed to enhance the tribological properties of components. The combination of thermochemical process steps creates a robust surface that significantly improves wear resistance, friction behaviour and corrosion resistance.

The treatment is suitable for a wide range of ferrous materials – from cast iron to high-alloy steels – and enables surface hardness of up to 1200 HV, as well as corrosion resistance of up to 1000 hours in salt spray testing (ISO 9227).

CLIN™ technologies are used in a variety of highly stressed components, including pivot pins, hydraulic and gas cylinders, differential components and braking systems.

The processes also provide a high-performance alternative to conventional surface treatments such as hard chrome plating or electroless nickel, while meeting current environmental requirements, as they do not involve the use of PFAS and do not generate VOC or NOx emissions.
